I just love these incredible fake vintage drawings of our "modern" technologies (see below). What is modern, what is not ?
And how old is too old in computer science ?
We've been using computers on a large scale for less than 30 years, and Internet for less than 15 years. Compare this to 1 century of industrial age, 6 of text printing, and 53 of writing...

Well computer science "might" be old in a sense that is the most fast forward technologies ever made. What I mean is that all the other industrial technologies almost never made gigantic steps and even the small ones were pretty slow in time. In computer science there are gigantic steps in a very small amount of time, so by judging the relevancy of time vs progress we might say that IT science is pretty old already!
Il y a si peu de blog un tant soit peu technique et intéressant en francais, pourquoi vouloir absolument écrire en anglais ?!? Francais, chérissez votre langue !
@Manu : oui, je sais, mais je commence à avoir plein de demandes d'anglophones, qui pestent parce qu'ils ne savent pas lire le Français, malgré le widget Google Translator. Donc...
